We are looking for volunteers to join the trustee committee of this vibrant village pre-school.
Kings Worthy Pre-School is managed on a daily basis by a professional team of well qualified staff. The vision, strategy and charitable oversight of the organisation is the responsibility of the trustees who support the Pre-School Manager and staff, dealing with parents and families as necessary including safe guarding, the recruitment of new staff and Trustees, supervision of apprentices and conducting staff annual reviews. As well as having fundraising, financial, budgetary and administrative oversight some trustees also volunteer in the setting on a regular or occasional basis.
Trustees are elected for one year at a time, a commitment of two years is preferable as this provides stability and ensures knowledge and experience can be passed on.

With ever increasing pressure on childcare providers we are aware of a range of more specific skills and experience we are looking for:
Experience of childcare provision and Ofsted,
Able to support staff through safe guarding and child protection incidents.
Budgetary and financial planning.

When can I volunteer?
Start Date: 01/01/2020
End Date: 31/07/2021
Currently Trustees meet 10 times a year (usually within the school day for the convenience of current committee members) plus the AGM. Beyond these meetings Trustees would be expected to be involved in practical aspects of Pre-School.
