Social Prescribing Champion

Volunteering as a Social Prescribing Champion

What is Social Prescribing?

Social Prescribing helps people to gain access to activities, social groups, services and advice based on their needs and interests. It allows GPs to refer community-based sources of support alongside any existing clinical treatments.

Based at one of 3 GP Practices in Winchester, you will assist the Wellbeing Co-ordinator(s) in identifying patients’ interests and signposting them to relevant activities, community groups or lunch clubs with the aim of reducing isolation and improving health and wellbeing.
