Chair of a Waterlooville voluntary group

Opportunity

Role as chair involves representing the group at appropriate events, setting the agenda, venue and agenda for, and conducting meetings (AGM and two committee meetings a year), encouraging and supporting group members, carrying out the initial interview with prospective members, general responsibility for the group's volunteers and clients.

An enormously satisfying role.

Role takes 1-2 hours a week, mainly at times to suit you

Skills

Ability to get on with people, ability to communicate, computer literacy (most 'admin' is done by email), reasonably well organised, common sense, awareness of 'safeguarding' requirements.
